Church Security Training
Following the tragic Charleston shooting at Emanuel AME Church in June 2015, church security has been a top priority for many church leaders, as the reality of violent crime within faith-based organizations remains an ongoing threat. Royal Range is proud to introduce our church security training course, which equips church leadership teams with the necessary training to respond effectively in case of emergency or active shooter situations.
Faith-Based Violence Statistics
According to church security expert Carl Chinn, “twice as many people die in violent incidents on religious property as die in school shootings.”
Chinn’s sobering 2014 report on violence within faith-based organizations and churches found that 176 localized incidents of deadly force occurred in the United States in 2014 alone.
What Can You Expect from our Church Security Training?
Royal Range’s church security training is designed to equip church leadership teams like yours with the skills and knowledge needed to protect congregations from violent incidents, including active shooter situations, assaults, and domestic disputes.
This program includes everything your team needs to ensure proper safety precautions, including an onsite analysis and hands-on training in our reality based training facilities.
We customize our church safety training program to the specific concerns of your congregation. Depending on your preferences, we can offer training at your place of worship or at our five-star Nashville shooting range.
Our all-encompassing security course is led by Bob Allen, the former Sergeant of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. His 20 years of experience supervising the Use-of-Force Division make him exceptionally well qualified to lead emergency response and security training.
Topics Covered in Church Security Training
Our goal is that this training will cover every potential scenario that could threaten the members of your church. To this end, our curriculum includes everything from de-escalation techniques to active shooter responses to unarmed critical emergency response training.
We also offer critical on-site security training, including a risk assessment of your church and assistance in your security personnel selection process. During the risk assessment, our experts that have worked both domestically and abroad in the security field will evaluate your church’s facilities and offer suggestions for improving your building’s safety.
The full list of course topics covered in our church security training course includes:
- Risk assessment
- De-escalation techniques
