NEW SHOOTER II
Ditch the internet lore—turn foundational knowledge into practical, everyday confidence.
New Shooter 2: Mythbusters is the direct next step for graduates of New Shooter 1 (or equivalent basic handgun training) who are ready to move beyond the basics. Rather than dumping endless information, this course uses a myth-busting approach to challenge common assumptions about equipment, shooting techniques, home defense, and concealed carry. We break down marketing claims and range myths to give you actionable, real-world clarity.
Over three interactive hours, you will test your skills, handle new platforms, and discover how responsible firearm ownership seamlessly fits into your everyday lifestyle.
What You Will Learn
Live-Fire & Stress Drills: Reinforce your marksmanship fundamentals on the range with a targeted 50-round course of fire. You'll experience timed drills—like the Triple 5 drill—to understand how time pressure affects accuracy and build clear goals for future training.
Intro to Rifle & Shotgun Platforms: Bust myths regarding shotgun spread patterns, recoil, and stopping power. Get hands-on dry handling experience with AR-style rifles, PCCs, and shotguns to compare stability, sight alignment, and home defense suitability.
Modern Handgun Maintenance: Master field stripping, essential cleaning, and inspection points for popular modern handguns (Glock, S&W, Sig Sauer, Canik) without the risk of over-lubricating.
Home Defense & Force-on-Force Tour: Tour our force-on-force training room to see why decision-making outweighs gear. Learn defense-in-depth strategies, dynamic vs. static responses, flashlight use, and key legal considerations like the Castle Doctrine.
Concealed Carry & Practical Lifestyle: Get hands-on with real gear. Evaluate holsters, carry positions, belt options, and wardrobe choices to effectively conceal carry. Learn daily logistics like public restroom protocols, vehicle storage, and navigating transitional spaces safely.
